SAAM SMIT Towage Brazil signed a contract with Petrobras in the port of Suape

Saam Smit Towage Brasil S.A. announces the beginning of a significant contract with Petrobras to attend all its vessels under Time Charter Party and Voyage Charter Party calling Suape Terminal, located at Pernambuco State, Northeast of Brazil.

Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. — Petrobras, is a semi-public Brazilian multinational corporation in the petroleum industry headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The company currently operates globally in the energy sector, primarily in the areas of exploration, production, refining, marketing and transportation of oil, natural gas and its derivatives. The Terminal of Suape is responsible for loading and unloading of tanker vessels and performs the storage of oil products and alcohol, as well as its loading/unloading of tank trucks and rail tank cars. 

To attend Petrobras’s requirements, SST Brasil provides two tugboats fully dedicated to attend the terminal: The SST Tamoio and SST Imperatriz-I both 50 Tons bollard pull tugs, ASD propulsion with Firefighting capabilities.

SST Brasil operates 44 tugboats from 12 ports along the Brazilian coast, and its versatile and flexible fleet can handle large container ships; ro-ro ships; oil, chemical and LNG tankers; dry-bulk carriers, refrigerated ships and general cargo. Over the last 8 years, since the beginning of the towage operations in Brazil, SST Brasil has been providing attendance to a considerable number of Oil tankers and Gas carriers, confirming its strong local knowledge and expertise in Oil and Gas Terminal towage services.  SST Brasil is a strong partner for Petrobras to ensure safe and efficient towage services to a number of their terminals.
